Simplified access and improved dialogue: Information technologies help social science and humanities research to benefit more from the growing digital collections of cultural, heritage and museum institutions.

Alexander Loos from  our project partner Fraunhofer IDMT has adapted recently developed computer vision and machine learning techniques to enrich historical media content with automatically generated metadata for faster and more efficient searches in digital collections and archives. Meet Alexander at the IEEE International Conference on Metrology for Archaeology and Cultural Heritage 2018 on October 22 – 24 in Cassino, Italy, where he will present his results.
